BENGALURU: Taking cognizance of a fee of Rs 5 lakh from a patient of corona by a private hospital, Karnataka medical education minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Wednesday that he would take stern action against the hospital. In-charge of Corona management in the state, Dr Sudhakar posted the bills of Apollo Hospitals on his Twitter account and said that the hospital is allegedly neglecting the guidelines and warnings of the government.

He said, "I have come to know that patients are having a lot of trouble in Apollo Hospital. I have warned about this many times. The government has fixed a fee of five thousand rupees to fifteen thousand rupees a day for the corona infected who are getting treatment in private hospitals." Apollo Hospital released a statement "There has been some mistake in the dialogue with the minister. Our management has informed him." 1 executive officer of the hospital told the media that the bill was made according to the insurance fee. A 64-year-old patient was admitted to the ICU on July 3 and he is admitted in the ICU. The patient's family has no problem with the bill. Rather the son of the patient is also in the medical area and he understands the situation very well.''

When the patient's son was contacted, he said that he would not comment because the patient is still in the hospital. The patient's son said, "Our priority is to bring the father out of the hospital. I do not want to complicate it further by commenting on the matter."
