Ramallah: The Palestinian health ministry reported that an Israeli soldier was killed on Monday in the occupied West Bank. The military claimed that there had been a firefight during a raid.
According to the ministry, Ashraf Mohammed Ibrahim, 37, was "shot by the Israeli occupation" in the northern city of Jenin. According to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, Ibrahim was a member of the Palestinian intelligence service.
