Jhansi: A video from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, is going viral and has left everyone astonished. In the video, a King Cobra (black snake) was seen coiled around a Shiva lingam in an ancient temple. Devotees had gathered around the temple, and the snake was wrapped around the lingam where people were offering water. Attendees captured the incident on their mobile phones. The video shows devotees performing rituals while the snake spreads its hood and moves around.
The incident took place at the ancient Kedareswar Temple in the Mauranipur tehsil area of Jhansi district. Recently, a Cobra was spotted wrapped around the Shiva lingam in the temple. Upon hearing the news, a large number of devotees gathered and began their worship. The video of the event has gone viral on social media. The Kedareswar Temple, located on a high hill about 70 kilometers from Jhansi headquarters in the Mauranipur town, is an ancient structure built during the Chandela period. It is reported that on Nag Panchami, a Cobra was seen coiled around the Shiva lingam inside the temple. Upon learning about this, Shiva devotees flocked to the temple and began their worship with great reverence.
Eyewitness Raunak Babele mentioned that the Kedareswar Temple is very ancient. On Nag Panchami, a snake was seen wrapped around the Shiva lingam, which was worshiped by everyone with deep faith. According to the temple priest, the temple is dedicated to the Nandi avatar of Lord Mahadev and was established during the Dwapar Yuga, when the Pandavas were in exile.
