Agra: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers were assaulted by members of a particular community in Uttar Pradesh's Agra for stopping them from creating a ruckus after consuming alcohol, in which 6 people were injured. Of these, 2 people have sustained serious injuries. After the incident, the people of the Sangh and its related organizations have gheraoed the police station and lodged a complaint against unknown people. The matter is being told of the union office under Alamganj outpost in police station Lohamandi of Agra.

In front of this temple, people of a particular community used to gather and drink alcohol and create a ruckus. According to eyewitnesses, RSS workers stopped him after seeing him consuming liquor and meat in front of the temple. On this the miscreants went back, but they returned with 50-70 people and attacked the RSS office. During this, the crowd pelted stones fiercely. Not only this, the miscreants also broke the picture of Mother India kept in the office. During this, the crowd kept on vandalizing the office for a long time. Vikas Gupta and Shivam Kumar present there were seriously injured in this attack. As soon as the information of the matter was received, all the BJP leaders including the local MLA reached and gheraoed the police station.
At the same time, MLA Yogendra Upadhyay from Agra South alleges that the workers were taken away by miscreants and beat them up. It is alleged that even the union workers were threatened with death. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, SSP Sudhir Kumar Singh reached the spot and assured strict action against the accused. A complaint has been registered against unknown people in this case. According to media reports, the SSP said that a case has been registered against 40-50 unidentified people in connection with the attack on Sangh workers. Action will be taken against the accused under the Gangster Act and the National Security Act (NSA). He also told that 10 people have been arrested in this case.
