Indore: On the birth anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi, a unique initiative for women has been seen in Kasturba village in which competition will be organized. Blood tests of girls and women will be done here and on meeting the standard level of hemoglobin, that participant will be awarded the title of Miss Hemoglobin. According to Kasturba Gandhi's dream, Shakti Sammelan is being organized to empower women, educate and make them health conscious.

Anganwadi workers, assistants, and surrounding rural women and women and child development minister Imarti Devi and other ministers, MPs, MLAs, divisional commissioners, collectors, and officers will also be present from the entire division including the girls of Kasturba village. Complaints of anemia arise due to a lack of catering awareness among women in the state. In which there is a lack of hemoglobin, especially among women in rural areas.

Miss Hemoglobin competition will be organized along with other events in Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust with the aim of making women aware of hemoglobin. In which the doctor will do a blood test to check the level of hemoglobin. Its report will also be given on the same day. Medical Science University under the 'Healthy Women, Healthy State' campaign had conducted tests in women colleges. Due to which the report was handed over to the then Governor Anandi Ben Patel in December 2018. This is a good initiative by which women can be educated about their own well being.
