Sunny Deol is one of the most renowned faces in the film Industry. The actor is also a prominent political personality and BJP MP but It seems that the people of Pathankot in Punjab are not very happy with actor and Sunny Deol, who current Member of Parliament from (Loksabha constituency) of Punjab, India. As the 'missing' posters of Sunny Deol have appeared across Pathankot.
The posters, 'gumshuda ki talash (search for the missing)', have been pasted on the walls of houses, railway stations and vehicles in the city against the MP from Gurdaspur. Ape per the official source "Posters of "missing" BJP leader Sunny Deol pasted on walls of houses, railway station, vehicles."
The protester are protesting by saying, "After becoming MP, he never visited Gurdaspur. He calls himself the son of Punjab but he hasn't brought any industrial development,not allocated MP funds or brought any central govt scheme here. If he doesn't want to work, he should tender his resignation."
Sunny Deol is facing heavy criticism from political rivals. . The actor-turned-politician visited the Gurdaspur-Pathankot segment last time in September 2020 when he met senior officials to discuss the Covid-19 pandemic and other issues. He also met selected people from the general public. The visit had come six months after his previous visit. However, he avoided reaching out to the public as the anger was growing among the farmers against the now-repealed three farm laws. Incidentally, Sunny Deol was also starkly absent in the recently-held Punjab assembly elections despite him being in high demand for the campaign due to his celebrity status but the actor did not get involved in the development-related activities.
