Aizawl: The Mizoram government has released new guidelines regarding social gathering. While releasing the new guidelines, the state government said that it will be necessary to follow the Additional Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). According to the officer, this decision has been taken due to the increasing outbreak of corona infection. He said that if people gather at one place anywhere, then physical distance should be followed.

The order has been issued after a meeting by the state government on Thursday. This decision has been taken under the chairmanship of CM Zoramthanga. Major officials of non-government organizations, churches and doctors have been present in this meeting. It has been said in this order that not more than fifty people can gather together. Permissions will be given for the gathering of only twenty-five people in wedding ceremonies, funeral ceremonies, anniversary celebrations and any other related activities. According to the order, 'Jaikhavam' has been banned from singing songs in groups or singing songs of happiness together in wedding ceremonies to mourn the funeral. It has been said that it will be necessary for the people participating in these ceremonies to wear masks.

For your information, 649 corona infection cases were registered in Mizoram till Thursday, out of which 319 are active cases. With this, 330 people have become healthy. The officer has given information about this. However, it is a matter of relief that not a single death has taken place in the state.
