Aizawl: Tremors of the late-night earthquake were felt in Aizawl, Mizoram on Friday. The magnitude of this earthquake on the Richter scale is estimated at 3.7. According to the National Center for Sysmology, the earth trembled at about 12:49 p.m. However, no reports of any loss of life and property have been reported so far due to the tremor.
Earlier, tremors were felt in Mizoram on November 29 The National Centre for Sysmology had reported that tremors of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale were felt near the Champhai district of the state. According to him, the epicenter of the earthquake was 69 kilometers south of Champhai. The earthquake was felt at a depth of 54 kilometers below ground at 6.54 pm India time.

No loss of life and property has been reported in the earthquake. Officials said the earthquake struck around 6:53 a.m., followed by mild tremors in the same area, which had been assessed as 2 in magnitude. Rajkot district collector Arun Mahesh Babu had confirmed that there were no reports of any casualty or loss of property due to the earthquake.
