MK Stalin is all set to take over as DMK 's next Party President at the DMK 's General Council meet  tomorrow. Another party senior Duraimurugan is scheduled to be elected as Treasurer. This post was held by Stalin earlier.

Since the demise of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the DMK leader of DMK, M Karunanidhi, there has been a doubt of the DMK's new president; though Karunanidhi had his son M. Stalin made his successor before his death. While Karunanidhi's second son, M. Alagiri, was already ousted from the party, but now Karunanidhi passed away After this, there is a tug-of-war between the two members of the DMK.

“Earlier Kalaignar (M Karunanidhi) was there. Now we have to save the party (DMK) and we want to join it. If they don't include us in the party, they will have to face the consequences”,Expelled DMK leader MK Alagiri warned DMK on being asked 'why there wasn't any revolt earlier', in TamilNadu.

Prior this Stalin has filed nomination for the post of DMK on Sunday, after which Alagiri's  mind has changed, even after Stalin filed his nomination, he was showing a rebellion and said, 'What should I do? Do you want me to go and offer their name? After the announcement of the by-election, we will see what we have to do. '
