Veteran actor Thyagaraja Bhagavathar was the first superstar in Tamil cinema. But his personal life affected his cinematic career, and he lost his dominance on big screens. The condition of his heirs also became a matter of concern. Now, the latest report is that MK Stalin helps Thyagaraja Bhagavathar's family. Sairam, the great-grandson of Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, had come to the General Secretariat a few days back and filed a petition in the separate section of the Chief Minister. He said their family is currently living in poverty and struggling to even pay the house rent. TN Chief Minister MK Stalin took action on the petition soon and has ordered to set aside a house in the Tamil Nadu Housing Board flat at a low rent on behalf of the government for MK Thiagarajar Bhagavathar's grandson. MK Stalin has also extended financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for the family.
The Chief Minister taking action on the petition within 2 days has brought some hope among the public, and he is receiving praise from several others on social media. MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar was fondly called as MKD by fans, and he is the first star-studded hero of the Tamil film world. He is also one of the greatest Carnatic music singers, and his many films were successful films at the box office at that time.
