India’s leading automotive manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said on Thursday that it has teamed up with SAP India to drive its digital transformation.

The Mumbai-based manufacturer will be able to successfully upgrade its IT landscape and improve overall operations with SAP India. "In the shifting industry dynamics and client expectations, agility and company innovation are top priorities." M&M Group Chief Technology Officer Mohit Kapoor said in a statement, "We think that cloud is the change agent in digital transformation of the organisation by bringing in higher degrees of intelligence and automation."

SAP on cloud takes a business transformation as a service strategy, which he says is in line with the company's ambitious digital road map of rethinking customer journeys by transforming the core and using data/AI to drive customer and employee experience.

"Extending our assistance to our long-time customer, Mahindra & Mahindra, is timely, since cloud migration is a developing trend in the quickly changing business landscape," said Manish Prasad, SAP India Vice President For Metal, Mining, Miscellaneous, and Automotive Industry.
