Veteran Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan believes that his Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) might be the third largest party after the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly polls. He said, one lakh members have recently joined the party and "We have arrived at this estimation of becoming third largest party based on field work, polls and internal analysis".

Kamal Haasan ahead of his birthday meets reporters on Wednesday and announced about the party's campaign tour in November and December. The party campaign will start on November 26 and 27 and Trichy and Madurai tops the list of places to be campaigned. Followed by campaigns at Coimbatore and Salem on December 12 and 13 respectively.

On a question about his wish to form an alliance with the BJP, he said it was too early to decide on any alliance and that people will know when he makes the decision. Replying to a question on his views on the Manusmriti, he said that it is not in circulation anymore, so there is no need to discuss anything about it. "If there is a threat to my constitution, I will rise against it," he said. About his campaign manifesto, Haasan replied honesty and a corruption-free society will be the core of his manifesto and opens challenge to other political parties to takes the same as their manifesto.
