New Delhi: The Union Cabinet is likely to be expanded on July 8. According to sources, PM Modi's cabinet will be expanded on January 8, Thursday, and there are reports that 20 new faces will be accommodated in the new cabinet. Earlier today, on Tuesday, Union Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot has been removed from the post of the minister and appointed as governor. Clearly, some ministers from the Cabinet may be removed from the post of ministers and it has already started.

According to the information, the cabinet expansion may take place on July 8 i.e. Thursday at 10.30 am. Several ministers have been summoned to Delhi earlier. Meanwhile, former Assam CM Sarbananda Sonawal has been called to Delhi and has left Guwahati for Delhi today. Jyotiraditya Scindia is also reported to have been called to Delhi. Before reaching Delhi, Scindia has visited Ujjain and offered prayers at the Mahakal temple.
