New Delhi: To avoid the outbreak of Corona, a lockdown has been announced across the country till 14 April and during this time people are not allowed to leave their homes, but the government has given many relief for the farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar gave instructions to the state governments and concerned officials and that there is a relaxation in the movement of farming and people related to it, so it should be followed.

According to the government, there should be no shortage of food-related materials, so it is necessary to give exemption to agricultural work. The rabi crop is in the incoming mandis, at this time, there is buying and selling, so it is also important to maintain this crop cycle and market arrangement. The local administration will identify the people involved in this task and also create an identity card for them so that they are comfortable.

Goods will be delivered to your home in lockdown

Government has given exemption for these works: -
- Work related to purchase of agricultural products, work related to institutions and minimum support price
- Work of mandis conducted by Agricultural Produce Market Committee and State Governments
Custom Hiring Centers (CHC) with availability of farm and farm equipment by the farm, fertilizer shops, farmers and agricultural workers
- Interstate movement of agricultural and horticultural equipment related to fertilizer, pesticides and seeds manufacturing and packaging units, harvesting and sowing.
