Srinagar: After the abrogation of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the government is now preparing a major plan for the Valley. Quoting sources, the centre has prepared a mega plan to boost tourism in Kashmir. It is reported that the Ministry of Tourism will visit the Valley next month. The team along with Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel will first visit Leh and then visit the valley to mark the places where tourism can be boosted.
It may be mentioned that 137 mountain peaks in the Himalayas have already been approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Defence on the recommendation of the Ministry of Tourism to increase tourists in Jammu and Kashmir, including the upcoming Mountain Peaks in Kashmir. Under this plan, the Central Government will provide high level training to the tourist guides of the state. In addition, tourists will be given a variety of facilities in the province.
On the other hand, a high-level meeting of the Home Ministry is being held today on Jammu and Kashmir. The high-level meeting, led by the Home Secretary, is attended by Secretaries-level officials of the Government of India. The meeting is reportedly in the discussion on the implementation of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019, which includes Additional Secretary (J&K).
