New Delhi: The Modi government of the Center has prepared a mega plan for migrant laborers who have lost their livelihood and employment due to the lockdown. The Central Government has identified 116 districts in 6 states of the country, where the largest number of migrant laborers have returned during the lockdown. Now the government has made a big plan for these migrant laborers.

Under this, a complete roadmap has been prepared for the rehabilitation and employment of crores of migrant workers who returned to their states and villages during the corona lockdown. Now the government will run the social welfare and direct benefit scheme of the central government on a war footing in these 116 districts. Its objective is to ensure the benefit of livelihood, employment, skill development and poor welfare facilities for the returned migrants. These districts will work in mission mode under other central government schemes including MNREGA, Skill India, Jan Dhan Yojana, Kisan Kalyan Yojana, Food Security Scheme, PM Awas Yojana.

In addition to this, along with the focus on these districts under the recently announced Self-Reliant India Campaign, other central schemes will also be implemented in a definite manner. The central government ministries have also been asked to prepare proposals for the schemes keeping these districts in mind in two weeks and send them to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
