New Delhi: On the one hand, farmers are agitating at various borders in Delhi to protest against three new agricultural laws. Meanwhile, the Modi government at the Centre is gearing up to woo farmers. The Modi government is going to put Rs 19,000 crore directly into farmers' bank accounts in August. Assembly elections are also proposed in 5 states including Uttar Pradesh next year. Out of which farmers from UP, Uttarakhand and Punjab are staging dharna against new agricultural laws. The farmers here are said to be angry with the Government.

The Central Government is now trying to allay this resentment so that its loss in the elections can be avoided. The government is planning to release the next instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to The Next Instalment of Rs. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, led by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, is planning to transfer the amount to the accounts of all beneficiaries at once on August 9.

The last instalment of the scheme was given on 14th May for the period April-July. Under the scheme, money is to be sent to the accounts of 9.5 crore beneficiaries. Earlier, the Central Government was conducting awareness and registration camp campaigns for farmers whose names could not be included in the scheme. Farmers were also being sensitized for online applications.
