Denmark: India Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his Danish PM Mette Frederiksen on Tuesday, and the two leaders are anticipated to address a wide range of matters of mutual interest in order to strengthen their bilateral ties. Modi was greeted at the airport by his Danish counterpart as a special gesture when he arrived from Germany.

When Modi arrived at Marienburg, the official residence of the Danish Prime Minister, for meetings, he was greeted by Frederiksen. "Friendship-building conversations in Copenhagen." PM Frederiksen greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Marienborg," the Prime Minister's Office tweeted.

It is PM Modi's prime visit to Denmark, where he will take part in bilateral and multilateral engagements on Tuesday and Wednesday. The visit is expected to "give an opportunity to examine the progress in our unique 'Green Strategic Partnership' with Denmark, as well as other sectors of our bilateral relations," the Prime Minister said.

'India-Denmark: A Green Strategic Partnership' was created in September 2020 during a virtual conference. During Prime Minister Frederiksen's visit to India in October 2021, this partnership was translated into a results-oriented five-year action plan. Modi will also have a meeting with Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. He'll also speak at the India-Denmark Business Roundtable and mingle with the Danish Indian community.

Apart from bilateral activities in Denmark, he will also attend the 2nd India-Nordic Summit, where he will meet with the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, and Norway to assess collaboration since the first India-Nordic Summit in 2018. "The Summit will address topics such as post-pandemic economic recovery, climate change, innovation and technology, renewable energy, the shifting global security scenario, and India-Nordic collaboration in the Arctic region," Modi added.
