Patna: On Friday, Congress leader Shatrughan Sinha slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the Narendra Modi lahar (wave) in the country has now turned into qahar(chaos) against the Prime Minister.
“Modi lahar has turned into Modi qahar (The Modi wave has turned into a Modi chaos),” he told reporters during a media briefing where he was joined by several leaders of the grand alliance of the opposition.
He also hit out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah and said that the people of Bihar will show the BJP chief his “aukat” (worth) in the general elections.
“Amit Shah said he will show Bihari Babu (Sinha) his aukat. The way Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about Bihar’s DNA, people showed him his worth in the assembly elections. After the roadshow today, they (BJP and its allies) will know their worth...and whatever’s left, the people of Bihar will show them in the general elections,” Sinha said, according to news agency ANI.
Mr. Sinha also said that he was made to pay the price for standing by veteran BJP leader LK Advani. Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is contesting against Sinha in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
