While holding a roadshow in Delhi Priyanka said: “Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is like that student who doesn’t do his homework and when the teacher asks, he blames Jawaharlal Nehru for taking his answer sheet or Indira Gandhi for destroying the notebook and making paper boats of it.”

The Congress leader also challenged the PM to contest the last two phases of the Lok Sabha election on the issues of demonetization, GST, women's security and all the promises made by him to the people of the country.

Priyanka’s statement came after PM Narendra Modi challenged the Congress to fight the last two phases in the name of Rajiv Gandhi, who he described as "bhrashtachari no. 1 (corrupt number 1)".

At a public rally in the national capital, PM Modi had accused the former PM of using warship INS Viraat as his "personal taxi" for his 1987 vacation to Bangaram atoll in Lakshadweep. “At the time when INS Virat was positioned for protection of maritime boundaries, it was sent to take Rajiv Gandhi and his family to an island for their holiday.  Even his in-laws were onboard INS Virat. Was it not a compromise of national security?” ANI quoted PM Modi as saying.
