According to the report, while addressing a public meeting in Dibrugarh, Assam, the Home Minister also attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the party and said that soon they would be wiped out from the entire country. On his visit to Dibrugarh, in the state of Assam, Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the BJP's regional office. He said, "I would like to tell Congress that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will win 12 out of 14 seats in Assam, and Modi ji will become PM for the third time by getting an absolute majority with more than 300 seats."

The home minister highlighted the achievements of the BJP-led Assam government and the schemes and policies launched in the last two years since Himanta Biswa Sarma took charge as CM in May 2021. He said, 'I would like to thank the people of Assam for starting the victory march of the BJP in the Northeast in 2016. Now the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and its allies are in power in all the states of the region. On the other hand, the Congress, which was the single largest party in the Northeast a few years ago, has now completely disappeared.
