Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been voted the best male player of the year for the second time by his fellow professional footballers in England, while Chelsea striker Sam Kerr has also been given the honour in the women's section. Salah has also become the 7th player to win the award more than once from the Professional Footballers' Association. He scored 23 goals in the Premier League this season and also assisted in scoring 14 goals.  

Salah said, "I have a room for trophies and I made sure I should have another place. I always make room and imagine that the trophies are coming. Kerr also helped Chelsea win the title with a maximum of 20 goals in the women's league.  

Earlier, Liverpool, with the help of two goals from Mohamed Salah, defeated Manchester United 4-0 to regain the top spot in the English Premier League (EPL) football tournament. Salah has assisted Louis Diaz in scoring the opening goal earlier. Diaz has taken Liverpool ahead in the 5th minute itself. After which Salah has made the score 2-0 in the 22nd minute with the effort of Sadio Mane. Mane scored the third goal for the team in the 68th minute in which Diaz has also assisted him.

Mohammad Salah has also scored his second goal in the 85th minute with the help of Diego Jota, who came into the field in place of Diaz. With this win, Liverpool has 76 points from 32 matches and has moved to the top, overtaking Manchester City. Manchester City has 74 points from 31 matches. Cristiano Ronaldo could not play in this match because of one of his newborn twins. Fans of both the teams have expressed their sympathy towards this star striker in the match.
