On Saturday, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat inaugurated the new building of the state RSS headquarters in the Maninagar area of Ahmedabad. The name of this building has been named Dr. Hedgewar Bhawan after the founder of the Union, Sir Sangh Promoter Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. Hedgewar laid the foundation of the RSS in Nagpur in 1925.

Bhagwat offered flowers at the feet of Bharat Mata before the inauguration and then inaugurated the five-floor building. The cost of the new building is 5 crores. There is a large hall on the first floor, two smaller halls on the second and third floors, a library and a living room. After the inauguration ceremony, Bhagwat toured the campus along with local RSS officials.
