She is trapped in the Swiss Alps due to Coronavirus but she is not alone. She is currently with her boyfriend and is enjoying. There is a 21-day lockdown in India and before this lockdown, Monali went to Switzerland with her German boyfriend Mike Richer.

While she was there, the lockdown took place and she was stuck in Switzerland. Talking to an online portal recently, Monali said, "She had foreseen that there could be a lockdown in India." So she had brought the necessities and medicines for her family before going to Switzerland." She said about spending time in Switzerland that, she is not locked in her home like India. There is no restaurants, pubs and public areas open. Only ration shops, hospitals, banks and postal service are also available there.

She further said, "I ride a bicycle all day. I like cycling alone on the mountains. It feels good to be in the midst of nature. I am recording songs at home." Monali also told, 'When I am not out, I record songs in the home studio. I am also cooking food for my partner."
