Monsoon has knocked over most of the states. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday announced the arrival of the Delhi monsoon. Kuldeep Srivastava, head of IMD's Regional Forecast Center, said that the monsoon has moved ahead in parts of West and East Rajasthan, eastern parts of Haryana, Delhi, entire Uttar Pradesh and most parts of Punjab on Thursday. The northern boundary of the monsoon is passing through Nagor, Alwar, Delhi, Karnal and Ferozepur. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall at different places in Delhi today. Normally the monsoon reaches here on 27 June.

Weather forecast website Sky Met Vader is expected to witness heavy to very heavy rain in parts of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya in the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Jharkhand, Rayalaseema, southern coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Tamil Nadu, Punjab and parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Light to moderate rain is expected in the remaining areas of Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Konkan Goa. Light rains may occur with few moderate spells in Uttarakhand, parts of Haryana, southern Gujarat and western parts of Madhya Pradesh.
