Chandigarh, many parts of Punjab and Haryana received Pre-monsoon rains. Chandigarh received a heavy downpour over night and the sky was cloudy during the day today, according to MeT department.
In Haryana, Ambala, Karnal, Panchkula, Hisar, Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra, were among other places that were lashed by rains.
Also Ludhiana, Ropar, Phagwara, Mohali and Hoshiarpur in Punjab were lashed by rains.
The maximum temperatures dropped by up to five notches below normal limits.
