Monsoon rains take over across the country, 500 deaths till date

Heavy rains have hit the country throughout the country. The condition of many states is very bad. More than 500 people have died so far in the country due to heavy rains. But the Meteorological Department believes that the monsoon in the country is normal till now. Many weather agencies including private weather agency SkyMet Weather forecasted this year to be a normal monsoon. But now SkyMet has reduced the forecast of rain further. SkyMate says that between June and September, the average annual monsoon rains in India are expected to be normal. 

In Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon has caused huge devastation. Many districts of the province are in the grip of the flood. A week ago, there was 43 per cent less rainfall than normal but now this gap has reduced to 8 per cent. Even in the northeast, it is still getting less than normal.

Bihar has received 22 per cent less rains so far, while Jharkhand has received 24 per cent rainfall even as usual. According to data from July 26, in Bihar, 48 percent less rainfall than normal was recorded. Here, 26 out of 38 districts have received less than normal rainfall. 

At the same time, in Jharkhand, less than normal rainfall has been recorded in 15 out of 24 districts. Kunti district has the lowest rainfall. It has received 64 percent less rainfall than normal. In the national capital Delhi, there was a light cloud over the sky this morning and the minimum temperature was recorded at one degree Celsius above 28.2 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, 70 per cent humidity was recorded at 8:30 in the morning.

According to the weather agency SkyMate Weather, there may be 88 percent rain in the month of August. The probability of less rainfall is 70 percent, 20 percent is expected to be less than normal, while the normal rainfall is only 10 percent. At the same time, in September, it is expected to get 93 per cent rains. Among them, 60 percent of the expected rainfall is less than normal, while 20 per cent of normal rainfall is estimated. 

 

"There will be light clouds and maximum temperature can be around 35 degrees Celsius." The minimum temperature was yesterday at 26 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius, an official of the Meteorological Department said.
