New Delhi: On Friday, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to present the Inter-Services Organisations (Command, Control, and Discipline) Bill, 2023, in the Lok Sabha. The bill aims to empower the Commander-in-Chief or the Officer-in-Command of Inter-Services Organisations concerning service personnel subject to the Air Force Act, 1950, the Army Act, 1950, and the Navy Act, 1957. It seeks to maintain discipline and ensure the proper discharge of duties for personnel serving under or attached to the commander's command. The bill will also address related matters.

In the legislative business listed for the day in Lok Sabha, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will present the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

Additionally, various private members' bills will be introduced in both Houses. In Lok Sabha, BJP MP Poonam Mahajan will introduce a bill further to amend the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act of 1960. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi will introduce a bill to protect individuals' privacy rights by prohibiting technologies that use facial recognition and remote biometric surveillance, along with related matters. DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi will introduce a Bill to establish a National Climate Change Authority to plan, monitor, and achieve net-zero emission targets by 2070, and address climate change mitigation and adaptation. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi will move a bill to amend the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Area Act, 2021.

Meanwhile, in Rajya Sabha, CPI MP Binoy Viswam will introduce a Bill aimed at preventing superstitious practices and promoting social awakening and awareness against such practices to create a healthy and safe social environment with mutual trust and understanding among people.

Members of Parliament from different parties have given notices for suspension of business in Rajya Sabha seeking discussion on the situation in Manipur. Congress MP Manish Tewari has given an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha to discuss the border situation with China. The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) party floor leaders will hold a meeting today at 10 am in the office of the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Rajya Sabha to strategize for the house proceedings.
