Parliament Session Live:  The Lok Sabha is all set to deliberate on the bill aiming to replace the ordinance controlling services in Delhi. This crucial matter is scheduled for consideration and passage on Thursday. Although it was initially listed for discussion on Wednesday, the Lok Sabha had to adjourn minutes after opening due to opposition protests.

The bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, facing opposition from several parties.

Notable Opposition MPs, including Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Saugata Roy, NK Premachandran, Sushil Kumar Rinku, and Asaduddin Owaisi, are expected to present a resolution against the ordinance promulgated by the Centre back in May, as soon as the bill is taken up for consideration.

The controversial ordinance, controlling services in Delhi, was issued just days after the Supreme Court's verdict on the matter.

DMK MP TR Baalu strongly opposes the Delhi Services Bill, stating, "We will definitely oppose the Delhi Bill. It is very draconian. This bill has to be opposed..."

Opposition parties wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, requesting an advanced schedule for the no-confidence debate. They aim to actively participate in the discussion and present their opinions on how to handle the current situation. Earlier, Speaker Birla announced that the no-confidence debate would take place from August 8 to 10, the final three days of the session.
