Through MONSTA X's official social media accounts, Kihyun tweeted a picture of his first mini-album "Youth" due out on September 30. On the emotionally charged background of the deep blue sky in the picture, soap bubbles are floating. Here, the first mini-title album's of "YOUTH" and its October 24 release date confirmed the band's return after a 7-month hiatus.
After making his debut seven years prior, Kihyun released his first solo single, "VOYAGER," in March, opening up a brand-new musical universe. The same-named album's lead single, "Voyager," as well as the b-sides "COMMA" and "RAIN," all charted on different music websites, indicating a successful debut as a solo artist. For instance, British singer-songwriter Etham is featured in the song "Comma."
Last month, Kihyun performed as a solo artist at the "KPOP LAND 2022 in Jakarta" event and covered songs by MONSTA X, including "One Day" and "Someone Some One," in addition to his own original song. There are great expectations for Kihyun's first mini-album, "YOUTH," which is expected to have a different musical spectrum. Kihyun has already demonstrated his diverse voice powers on his first single album, where his seven years of solo debut and novelty coexist. On October 24th, it will be made available.
