CHANDIGARH: Parents of murdered singer-actor-turned-politician Shubhadeep Singh alias Sidhu Moosewala, will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Chandigarh on Saturday evening.

Moosewala's father had written Shah a letter the day before,  demanding a probe into his son's killing by a central agency.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann promised on Friday that the killers will be apprehended as soon as possible.
During his visit to their local home in Mansa district, he told the aggrieved family that police have obtained vital clues regarding the murder of Sidhu Moosewala. "The day is not far when we will apprehend the culprits of this horrible act," he said.

The Chief Minister said Moosewala is a multi-talented artist with a mesmerising voice and originality.  He also said,  his sudden and terrible death has dealt a significant blow to the music industry in general, as well as millions of his followers.

On May 29, less than 24 hours after the government tightened his protection, Moosewala was shot dead in broad daylight by thugs near his home village.
