New Delhi: India's war against the corona epidemic is now gaining momentum. The world's largest vaccination campaign has been continuously increasing the number of vaccine vendors and more than 10 lakh health workers have been vaccinated so far. The Union health ministry said late Thursday evening that the number of health workers who have been vaccinated till 6 pm on the sixth day of the countrywide vaccination campaign of coronavirus has exceeded 10 lakh as per the interim report.
The health ministry has informed that the vaccine was introduced to 2, 33530 people through 4,043 vaccination sessions held in 27 states and union territories till 6 pm on Thursday. He said the final report will be ready by late night. Additional Secretary in the Ministry, Dr Manohar Agnani said that the countrywide Covid-19 vaccination programme was successfully launched for the sixth day across the country.
He said that according to the interim report, the total number of health workers vaccinated with coronavirus (till 6 pm) has reached 10, 40014, which were vaccinated in 18,161 sessions. Agnani said that on the sixth day of vaccination, 187 cases of adverse effects (AEFI) were reported till 6 pm.
