New Delhi: In the last 24 hours of infection of covid-19 in India, more than 16 thousand new cases have been seen. According to an update released by the Health Department on Friday morning, 16,838 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 113 more people have lost their lives. With this, the total number of cases of covid infection in the country has increased to 1,11,73,761. At the same time, the total number of deaths from covid-19 has been 1,57, 548. The Health Ministry has said that 13,819 people have recovered in the last 24 hours in the country. In this case, the figure of active patients is now 1,76,319.

Prior to this, 17,407 new cases of coronavirus have been seen in the country on Thursday. More than 17 thousand cases were reported in the country after about a month. In the country, the number of infected has reached 20 lakh on 7 August last year, 30 lakh on 23 August, and 40 lakh on 5 September. At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, and 90 lakh on 20 November, and one crore on 19 December. During this period, covid vaccination has seen a boom in India. About 11 lakh people were vaccinated on Thursday. At the same time, on Wednesday, about 1 million people were given the covid vaccine.

Earlier, about 5 lakh vaccines were being administered every day. In this sense, this is a big achievement. According to the report, only till 7 pm on Thursday, 10.9 lakh people had been vaccinated by covid. Of this, 4.9 lakh people are above 60 years of age. The corona vaccine was started in India on January 16 and so far more than 1.77 crore vaccines have been applied.

The second phase of corona vaccination has been started in India from 1 March. Under this, now more than 60 years of age and 45 or more people suffering from various diseases are also being vaccinated.
