Ankara: After the severe earthquake in Turkey and Syria, rescuers are continuously conducting rescue operations. Many people are being rescued in the ongoing campaign amid the bone-chilling cold. Every minute bodies are coming out of the rubble and the death toll is reaching record levels. So far more than 24 thousand people have lost their lives in the earthquake devastation in Turkey and Syria. At the same time, after the collapse of thousands of buildings, about one million people in both countries do not have money to even eat.

According to the report, the 7.8 magnitude earthquake caused so much devastation in Turkey and Syria that the death toll has crossed 24 thousand. Rescuers are engaged in rescue operations amidst the freezing cold. Sometimes alive people are found in the debris and sometimes dead bodies. This process is going on for the last few days. The condition has deteriorated to such an extent that at least 10 lakh people do not have money even for food. The United Nations (UN) has warned that the number of homeless in Syria alone could be up to 5.3 million.

However, there was some heartening news amid relief operations in Turkey and Syria. According to Turkish state news agency Anadolu, a pregnant woman named Zahide Kaya was rescued alive from the rubble after 115 hours in the Noordagi district of Gaziantep province in southeastern Turkey. His six-year-old daughter Kubra was rescued from the debris an hour ago. The woman is admitted to the hospital but is safe.
