Washington: The rate of infection of the corona virus has been steadily increasing and the number of confirmed cases has now crossed three lakhs, of which it took only four days to reach the figures of two lakh to three lakhs. Giving information at a virtual press conference, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Gibrias, has said that the number of corona patients has now crossed three lakhs.

Its infection has spread in almost every country of the world. this is very sad. He said that the spread of this virus is increasing. After the first case, it took 67 days for one lakh people to get infected. Another one lakh confirmed cases took 11 days to appear and now in just four days more one lakh people have been infected. This shows the speed with which this virus is spreading. Gibriasus said that we are not slaves of figures, we cannot stand silently and see people die.

He said that we can reverse the direction of this epidemic. Statistics matter because these are not just numbers. These are people whose life and family has suffered, but what matters most is what we do. He said that by imprisoning the houses and creating physical distance, we can reduce the speed of infection of the virus, but with these defensive measures we cannot defeat it. The aggressive approach to winning is essential, it is necessary to investigate every suspect and take care of every infected person and quarantine those who come in close contact with him.
