88 new cases of covid 19 have been reported in Assam. Which further indicates the fast spreading infection in the state. With this, the number of patients in the state has increased to 6,370. State Health Minister Himant Biswa Sarma informed about this on Thursday. There are a total of 2400 active cases in the state, while 3958 patients have been cured. So far 9 people have died and three patients have gone out of the state. Meanwhile, 196 more patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday night after Corona's negative test, taking the total number of patients recovering from infections to 3,958. The recovery rate in the state is 63 percent.

He said that in 88 new cases, 23 in Kamrup, 20 in Sonitpur, 10 in Tinsukia, eight in Baksa, seven in Karimganj, five in Dibrugarh, four in Dhubri, three in Kokrajhar and Kamrup (Rural), two in Biswanath and Nalbari. Two cases and one case have emerged from Dhemaji. So far, a total of 3,36,091 sample tests of corona virus have been done in the state.

Apart from this, the minister tweeted that, 'It is a policy of maximum testing and tracing, by which we have kept things under control and I must express my gratitude to all those who support in this. We are determined to defeat Corona. '' The Minister said that Corona Counseling Centers have become active in every ward of Guwahati Municipal Corporation and urged people to come forward for voluntary trials.
