According to the latest update by Africa CDC on Sunday, the number of Covid-19 cases confirmed so far across the continent has increased from 6 lakh 83 thousand cases on Saturday afternoon to more than 7 lakh 01 thousand on Sunday morning.

According to the Continental Disease Control and Prevention Agency, the death toll from the pandemic is said to be over 14,000. More than 3 lakh 68 thousand patients have recovered from this disease. Virus is increasing rapidly in this entire continent. African countries most affected by Corona infection include South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Algeria, Morocco and Cameroon.

The Africa CDC has also stated that in the number of cases, after the North African region in the whole continent, it is now the most affected area of South Africa. After which West Africa region comes at number three.
