New Delhi: Thousands of petrol pump workers are on strike in Rajasthan on Saturday. The people of this state are facing a lot of trouble. According to the media report, the Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association has called for a one-day strike in the state on Saturday. Due to this, around 7,000 petrol pumps are closed in the state. Explain that the dealers are opposing the VAT imposed on petrol and diesel by the Rajasthan government.

Giving information, the president of the association Sunit Bagai has told that the sale of petrol and diesel remained closed on Saturday. The state government has increased VAT on fuel to collect additional revenue due to the coronavirus epidemic. This led to a decrease of 34 percent in the sale of fuel in the state as the prices of petrol and diesel are lower in comparison to the neighboring states.

However, petrol pumps owned or operated by oil companies remained open during the strike and long lines of customers were seen on them. Sunit Bagai said that we have already submitted the memorandum of our demands to the state government. If the government does not take any positive decision on them, then from April 25, we will go on an indefinite strike.
