New Delhi: More than 5 crore farmers of the country have not been given the third installment of 2000 rupees under the PM-Kisan scheme. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture has given this information in response to an RTI. Under this scheme, farmers were announced to be given an installment of two thousand rupees every four months by the government. But this scheme was started on 1 December 2018. Where the government had announced to give six thousand rupees in a total of three installments, including only those farmers who have a very little land.

It is also being said that according to the data released by the government, 2.51 crore farmers have not got the second installment. At the same time, the number of farmers not getting the third installment is 5.16 crores. Between December 2018 and November 2019, about nine crore farmers had registered in this scheme. Only 7.62 crore farmers got the first installment. In response to the RTI filed by the PTI correspondent, the ministry said that 6.5 crore farmers got the second installment and 3.85 crore farmers got the third installment.

When the matter was investigated, the ministry said that from December 2018 to March 2019, a total of 4.74 crore farmers had registered. Of these, 4.22 crore farmers got the first installment, 4.02 crore farmers and 3.85 crore farmers got the third installment.
