New Delhi: A major incident is coming to the fore from Delhi, where an accident occurred after sleeping by burning a mosquito coil. Here, six members of the same family died due to suffocation. According to reports, a family was sleeping with coils burning in the Shastri Park area. Then, sometime during the night, the coil fell on a mattress, due to which the smoke spread in the whole room and killed six people sleeping there. At the same time, the condition of two people is said to be serious. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

ITG Crime Investigator Himanshu Mishra said: At around 9 a.m., a PCR call was received at Thana Shastri Park that a house had caught fire in Machhi Bazar in Shastri Park. Police reached the scene and admitted the injured persons to Jag Pravesh Chandra Chikitsalaya. He told me that nine people were injured in the incident. At present, the police have started investigating the matter by sending the dead bodies for postmortem.

In their preliminary investigation, the police found that a burning mosquito repellent coil had fallen on top of a mattress sometime during the night, causing toxic fumes to spread throughout the room and render people sleeping there unconscious. Later, he died of suffocation. At present, the investigation of the case is going on. The police said that six people died due to burns and suffocation in this incident. Among the dead are four men, one woman, and an eight and a half-year-old child. At the same time, the treatment of two people who were badly burned in the fire is going on. Among the injured are a 15-year-old girl and a 45-year-old man. Apart from this, a 22-year-old youth has been discharged after receiving first aid. According to research, one coil is as dangerous as 100 cigarettes. About PM 2.5 of smoke comes out of it, which is very harmful for the body.
