Muzaffarpur: A horrifying incident has emerged from Muzaffarpur district in Bihar. A mother brutally murdered her 3-year-old daughter simply because the child would cry and cling to her whenever she tried to leave the house. The accused mother slit her daughter's throat and then fled with the body, which she placed in a trolley bag.

The incident occurred in the Rambag area of Mithanpura, in a neighborhood behind the FCI godown. On Saturday, the body of the child, Mishti Kumari, was found in a trolley bag near the house. The mother, Kajal Kumari, had been missing since Friday afternoon. Kajal's husband filed a police complaint alleging that his wife had killed their daughter and fled with her lover. After an investigation, Kajal was arrested from her lover’s house in Rampurhari village. During interrogation, Kajal confessed that her daughter would cling to her and cry whenever she tried to leave the house. This prevented her from meeting her lover, so she decided to kill the child. She placed the body in a trolley bag and discarded it in a pit behind the house. She then formatted her mobile phone and went to Rampurhari village to be with her lover.

Kajal admitted that her lover had set a condition that he would accept her only if she came alone. Since Mishti never left her mother’s side, Kajal, blinded by her love, ended her daughter’s life to be with her lover. Kajal later acknowledged that she regretted her actions and now cannot sleep at night without her daughter. She revealed that her daughter used to cling to her while sleeping. The City SP stated that the investigation is ongoing, and no involvement of Kajal’s lover in the crime has been found so far.
