Madhya Pradesh (MP) Assembly polls Result: The grand old  Congress party has emerged as the single largest party in Madhya Pradesh by winning 114 out of 230 seat and now alls et to form the government in the  The BJP ruled state where the saffron party, in power for 15 years,. However BJP gave a tough fight and won 109 seats. 

Congress delegation is to meet Madhya Pradesh Governor at 12 noon to stake claim to form govt. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav from Samajwadi Party and Mayawati from BSP has extended thier support to Congress in forming the government in Madhya Pradesh. 

Addressing the press meet after having defeat Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "We did not get majority, will not stake claim to form Government, I am going to tender my resignation to the Governor'.

Earlier  BSP supremo Mayawati said that to keep BJP out of power we have agreed to support Congress in Madhya Pradesh and if need be in Rajasthan, even though we don't agree with many of their policies.

Besides MP Congress made a comeback in Chhattisgarh by winning 68 seats in the 90 seat Assembly and ended the BJP's 15 years reign.
