Bhopal: A lockdown has been imposed in Madhya Pradesh to prevent corona infection. Due to this, all the shops are closed and these including liquor shops. These shops are also closed. Cyber thugs have also become active here. People are also being cheated in the name of home delivery of liquor. Keeping this in view, cyber cell has issued an advisory. In fact, madhya pradesh has been under lockdown for nearly a month and people are in a state of alcoholism. Cyber thugs are now taking advantage of their intentions. You may all know that online sale of liquor in Madhya Pradesh is yet to be approved but cyber thugs have started cheating social media sites by buying liquor online and sending home delivery messages.
As per the information received, cyber crime unit of Bhopal police has received such complaints. In fact, a person from Bhopal received a message on his mobile about home delivery of liquor. When he called the number in the message, he got half of the amount fixed in advance for the carat of beer and asked him to pay half the money at the time of delivery. The youth reportedly called the same number again but the number was found closed even after submitting the advance. He then complained to the police two days later.
Advisory issued by Bhopal Cyber Crime Unit-
- Don't come in cheap or tempting offers.
- Do not open the link sent by the unknown person.
- Check the authenticity of any form before filling it.
- Madhya Pradesh does not have online likar delivery clearance at present so don't get tempted.
