After the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh and Haryana governments, Madhya Pradesh is also preparing to bring a law for action against Love Jihad. Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra said that the government will soon form a legal system against 'Love Jihad'. Earlier, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also said that he should bring guns against 'Love Jihad'.

Previously, Karnataka and Haryana governments said they were considering legislation against "love jihad", Notably, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also announced a strong law to deal with Love Jihad. He had warned against love jihad and said that the Ram name of those who play with the honor of the sisters will become true. Simultaneously, CM Yogi had said, referring to the Allahabad High Court's comment that 'it is unacceptable to change religion only to get married'. Religion should not be done. It should not be recognized. He said that the state is working to bring a strict law against 'Love Jihad'.

Earlier, BJP MP from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, Anil Ferozia, has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and demanded a law against 'Love Jihad'. BJP MP Anil Ferozia wrote in his letter, 'As it is known that cases like Love Jihad are being heard in the country. Recently, a love jihad case came up from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, where a Muslim boy changed his name to marry a Hindu girl and later tortured him for conversion after 5 years.
