BHOPAL: In a move aimed at attracting investors to Madhya Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has taken the decision to extend the licenses of industries and trade for a duration of ten years.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced this during his address at the closing session of the 44th annual convention of the Federation of MP Chambers of Commerce and Industries in Bhopal on Sunday.
CM Chouhan also reassured the business community that there would be unwavering support in promoting trade and industries in Madhya Pradesh, with a strong emphasis on generating employment opportunities.
"The state's industrial growth rate stands at an impressive 24 percent. The government is dedicated to fostering industries across all sectors. It is imperative for traders and industrialists to collaborate for the prosperity of the state. Let us continue to actively participate in its ongoing development," stated Chouhan.
He further highlighted the substantial increase in the state's per capita income, which has risen from Rs 11,000 to Rs 1,40,000.
"We are making significant progress in various domains, such as employment and skill development, irrigation, urban development, access to clean drinking water, panchayat and rural development, energy, and forestry. Notably, agricultural production has witnessed a remarkable surge, and electricity production has surged from 2900 MW to 28000 MW," he added.
