Bhopal: The new education policy has come into force in Madhya Pradesh and it is all set to make 32 lakh people literate by 2030. Now, for this, the Shivraj Government is going to run the Navbharat Literacy Programme. Yes, a 5-year roadmap has also been prepared, which will be proposed in the Cabinet meeting soon. Under the information received, it will be implemented across the state as soon as chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's approval is received.

In fact, as per the 2011 Census, Madhya Pradesh has 17.4 million 24 thousand 138 non-literates, the Shivraj government has formulated a master plan to run the Navbharat Literacy Programme to provide formal education to such people. Under the scheme, about 32 lakh people above the age of 15 years will be literate in 5 years. On the other hand, the Central Government has also approved the scheme of running literacy programmes and 7.41 crore rupees have also been sanctioned for the year 2021-22. The proposal will be tabled in the cabinet meeting to be held in future.

The programme is set to be launched soon if approved. Most importantly, there will be no separate appointments. Students will be supported with groups of Jidrasal Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Department of School Education, Retired Employees, Self Help Groups, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Aajeevika Mission and all of them will be called Akshar Saathi.
