Bollywood is celebrating real-life heroes and stories with movies like Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Super 30 and more. The makers and government made sure these films are tax-free to reach wider audience and now one such movie is Mudda 370 J&K, which is perhaps the most honest portrayal of real-life struggle and mayhem Article 370 has caused.
The movie should be made tax-free and perhaps added in text-books to new and old generation to remember our biggest constitutional failure and brave step from Modi government to rectify it.
Rakesh Sawant directorial is a hard hitting and nail biting narrative about Article 370 and its effects on people’s lives, culture, society and nation. It is a well researched and amazingly well presented in Mudda 370 J&K.

The film stars an incredible ensemble of Hiten Tejwani, Manoj Joshi, Raj Zutshi, Zarina Wahab, Pankaj Dheer, Anita Raj, Mohan Kapoor, Sujata Mehta, and Rakhi Sawant. The film also introduces new talents Anjali Pandey and Tanvi Tondon.
The first ever commercial drama in Bollywood which chronicles the history and present ramification of Article 370, is a well scripted and executed in this hard hitting movie. The narrative doesn’t mince words, neither underplay its objective look at vast divided this particular constitutional article has created.
Filmmaker Rakesh Sawant has gone all out with his directorial, addressing almost every possible issue of Jammu and Kashmir, such as communal disharmony, violence, the second rated treatment from Indian constitution, terrorism and lack of education and jobs.
The film is wrapped around a love story of a Kashmiri Pandit boy and a Kashmiri Muslim girl; so that the audience can digest the bitter pill of communal divided people of Jammu and Kashmir have been dealing over decades.
The movie is well shot, well edited and some valley shots are breathtakingly beautiful. The film also has a special song legend Asha Bhosle, the song features Rakhi Sawant, which is refreshing to watch.
Post interval the pace of film drops a little bit and characters are introduced at a random pace that it gets all confusing, which is one massive drawback of the film. The music could have been more lively and peppy, which isn’t. The chromo shoot is visibly poorly executed.
The composers of this film are Syed Ahmed, Sahil Multi Khan and Rahul Bhatt, while the lyrics are penned by Nisar Akhtar, Seema Bhatt, Shahid Anjum.
The film has singers like Asha Bhosle, Shaan, Palak Muchhal, Asees Kaur, Shahid Mallya, Mudasar Ali.
