The iconic and glorious Mughal Gardens of the Rashtrapati Bhavan which hosting hundreds of diversity of flowers will open for the public from Tuesday after President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurates it today.

The gardens will remain open to public from February 6 to March 9 between 9:30 AM and 4.00 PM. However, it will be closed on Mondays for maintenance and on March 2, on account of Holi, said Press Secretary to the President Ashok Malik. President Kovind will inaugurate the annual gardening festival ‘Udyanotsav’ of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, he said.

The British-era gardens constructed in Persian-styled architecture spread over a vast stretch of 15 acres boast of roses, tulips, Asiatic lilies, daffodils, hyacinth and other seasonal flowers. About 10,000 Tulip bulbs in eight varieties of different colours—all imported from the Netherlands—will be the main magnetism of the garden this year.  Tulips, which have been in blossom since the first week of January, were likely to bloom till the final week of February, 2018.

Also, there were 70 varieties of seasonal flowers apart from 135 different types of roses in the garden.  Especially, the garden will be unlock on March 9 completely for special group of people such as farmers, differently-abled persons, defense forces and Delhi Police workforce. Visitors will also would be able to see other gardens together with the Circular, Spiritual, Herbal, Bonsai, Tactile and Musical gardens.
