Mumbai: Reliance Retail will employ millions of people in the next three years. This was stated by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). He said reliance industries' retail business will see at least three times the growth in the next three to five years. At the same time, reliance retail will also generate large scale employment.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, RIL, said during the company's 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) that Reliance Retail will create 10 lakh new jobs in the next three years. There will also be indirect livelihood opportunities for millions of people. He said Reliance retail continues to perform brilliantly during the Covid epidemic. The company has not only increased the number of its stores by 1500 stores, but has also provided 65,000 new jobs amid the epidemic. Reliance Retail is one of the largest employers in the country with manpower of 2 lakh employees.

At the same time, Ambani said, "Reliance Retail is growing very fast and I am confident this time that the company will grow at least three times in the next three to five years. He also said that reliance retail has earned revenue of Rs 1,53,818 crore in FY 2020-21 even after being a very challenging year due to the epidemic."
