In today's world, singer Mukesh, who has touched millions of hearts with his magical voice. Born in Delhi on July 22, 1923, Mukesh's full name was Mukesh Chandra Mathur. The magic of Mukesh's voice in Hindi cinema was such that for decades he ruled the world of singers. Mukesh's voice was first recognized by Motilal, a distant relative of his. In fact, Mukesh was singing at his sister's wedding. Motilal brought Mukesh to Mumbai and made all arrangements for his practice.

Mukesh gave his voice to many actors, but his songs were the most hit with Raj Kapoor. Mukesh's voice had just cast a spell in Raj Kapoor's career. For Raj Kapoor, Mukesh sang so many songs that he was called Raj Kapoor's voice. From 'Jeena Yahan Marna Yaha, to 'jeena esi ka naam hai ' these song  gave Raj Kapoor's career new heights.

 Mukesh also tried his hand at acting with singers in films. Mukesh did his acting debut with the film 'Masum' (1941). In the film, Mukesh's upcoming act was Nalini Jaywant. Mukesh then acted in a few more films but could not succeed. Mukesh died of a heart attack in the US in 1976. It is said that the worst shock from the news of Mukesh's death was to Raj Kapoor. Today, Mukesh may not be in this world, but he is still alive in our hearts of music lovers.
